i booked a superior single room. the room had tea and coffee making facilities. i appreciated the inclusive, delicious breakfast with multiple options. free parking added extra value.
the shower fitting was difficult to adjust so the shower head could not be angled easily. there was little storage space in the bathroom for toiletries. i could have used a shelf.

I found the building historic. the staff was friendly and helpful. i had a really tasty cooked breakfast. They also had pizza, onion rings, and chips available for dinner. free parking at the back was a plus. They gave me a permit for my stay.
the receptionist told me that the dj would play music until 4am and the room i had would be very noisy.

The breakfast was AMAZING!!! I had a full English breakfast each morning. The staff were friendly and the free car park at the rear of the hotel was REALLY convenient.
The room was above the pub, so there was music until late. The structure provided ear plugs, however the music could still be heard. I would like to mention noise level, late music.

the included parking simplified things greatly, a real perk. the staff were friendly. my room was clean and had all the essentials i needed. breakfast was delicious, with freshly cooked items.
the coffee machine used for hot water tasted slightly dated.

poor soundproofinglimited breakfast
The lack of soundproofing was a real problem (i thought i was back in my student days). i could hear everything from the street and the pub below. it made getting a good night's sleep almost impossible. also, the limited breakfast options were disappointing. I was expecting more than just a basic selection (maybe i am too picky).

charmed with the Kings Arms

The location worked great because its near Swindon Arts Centre. We had dinner in the restaurant, it was before a concert and breakfast in the morning. Both meals was nice. Free parking was a real bonus I found. I liked the staff. They was helpful and pleasant.
A stain was on one of the pillow cases. debris was still in the toilet. The cleaning wasn't the best, sadly.
